Registered under the Societies Act of 1860, The Textile Association (India) is a not-for-profit organization managed by the apex body called the Governing Council.

The Association has 27 affiliated units, representing professionals of various zones, spread throughout the length and breadth of India. The central office of the Association is situated in Mumbai. TAI assumes an important role in the changing global business scenario, particularly it's impact on textile industry.

TAI-PHC is one of the Zonal Units of Textile Association (India). It represents Textile professionals working in Punjab, Himachal and Chandigarh. It has own elected body of office bearers and an executive committee.
